How to split a PDF visually

Drop a PDF onto the page. Every page is rendered as a thumbnail, arranged left to right. Between any two pages you'll see a scissors icon. Click it to split there — a red vertical line appears and the pages become separate segments. Every segment between two red lines becomes its own PDF file when you click Split.

Click a scissors again to remove that split and rejoin the pages. Use Split at every page for the "burst" mode where each page becomes its own file.

Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Common uses

Common questions

How do I split a PDF visually?

Click between any two page thumbnails where you want to split. A scissors icon appears, and the pages become separate PDF files.

Can I remove a split point?

Yes. Click the scissors icon again to remove that split and rejoin the pages.

Is this free?

Yes. Free, no watermark, no upload — everything runs in your browser.

Can I split into uneven parts?

Yes. Place scissors anywhere — the segments between scissors become the PDFs, and each can be a different length.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied byte-for-byte from the original PDF. Zero quality loss.

What's the maximum PDF size?

No hard limit, but PDFs over 500 pages may render slowly on low-end devices. The page previews are rendered at low resolution to keep things fast.

Can I split and then merge in a different order?

Not in this tool. Use Merge PDF after splitting to combine them in a different order.

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
